This tournament is open to all players and teams, with spots given to the first 32 teams that have signed up with a full roster of 5.

Groups - GSL Groups of 4 (Bo1 R1, Bo3 R2 & R3) with top 2 teams advancing to Playoffs

Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals played Day 3

This format and schedule may change depending on the final number of participating teams.

Tournament Notes:

A team representative must be present for the Captain Meeting in person at their declared check-in time on Friday.

The complete event schedule is dependent on the number of participants and will be sent to teams in the week leading up to the LAN.

Map pool, bans, and further tournament rules are outlined [Here] and will be emailed to teams before the event.

All team captains or team representatives must be present via Nerd Street Discord throughout the tournament in the event an admin needs to reach you.

Live support will be available during the tournament through admins who will be present at the Localhost Fullerton venue.

A few weeks before the tournament, a team confirmation form will be sent out to all teams. This information will be needed so we can confirm team rosters for the tournament and servers. Please ensure your team's information that is shared with admins is up to date.

Team captains are required to purchase the team ticket and fill out the information for each player on their roster.

Join Nerd Street Discord. Each captain will receive a "Freeze Time Captain" role that will be pinged leading up to and during the event with important information and reminders.

These rules are based off of and should inherit from the Valve Major Supplemental Rulebook which can be found [Here]. The rules outlined in this document are only additions, enhancements, or modifications to rules outlined in the Supplemental Rules.
This is the official ruleset for Nerd Street CS2 Freeze Time Presented by Kaos Gaming. 

In instances where a situation is not directly outlined in this document, the decision will be made by the Tournament Operator (TO) of the event.

Rules may be changed leading up to the event at the discretion of appointed tournament officials and/or Nerd Street. Players are responsible for keeping up-to-date with the latest rules and at no point are tournament officials or Nerd Street responsible for announcing or notifying players of rule changes.

In the event a rule modification needs to occur after matches have begun, players will be notified during the event by tournament admins to the best of their ability.

All players are expected to understand and follow the rules outlined in this document and those inherited. In the event of a disagreement or discrepancy in the rules, tournament officials will make the final ruling on a case-by-case basis.

The most current Active Duty Map pool will be used for this event The current map pool is as follows:

Teams will knife for sides on remaining Map 3

Each team will be allowed four 30 second tactical timeouts per map. Tactical timeouts do not carry over across maps or matches. Teams may tech pause in the event of technical issues, player disconnects, etc.

Abuse of the pause system may result in round, map, or series forfeiture at the discretion of a tournament official.

Pauses will be executed upon the next available freeze time unless the pause was done by a tournament official.

In the event of a technical issue by the host, Match Medic may be used to restore the game to the start of the affected round.

Availability of Match Medic cannot be guaranteed. In the event a round backup is unavailable, it remains at the Tournament Official’s discretion on how to proceed.

Jump/throw binds and aliases are allowed.

All agent model skins are banned, players must use default agent model skins.

Players cannot be on 2 rosters at once for any tournament. 

Emergency substitutions are allowed upon permission from the TO as long as those players are not already on a roster for the same Nerd Street tournament.

Coaches are allowed in this event but must be declared in event registration or in the team information confirmation form.

Coaches that would like to be in comms and the game server need to purchase a coach ticket to be given a PC during the event.

Coaches are only allowed to communicate with their team during tactical timeouts.

Any infringement on these rules may be met with an immediate disqualification to the team and potential ban from future tournaments.

Each team captain will be expected to join the Nerd Street Discord as important notifications or announcements may be posted there. This is also so they can reach your team during the event if you cannot be found in the venue.

Text channels will be set up for secondary communications. The main form of communication with admins should be in person at the event. You will also be able ping or direct message the admins through Discord if there are any questions leading up to the event.
