TOURNAMENT RULES

Latest Version: The latest version of the game will be used, characters and balance updates included. 

Double elimination: The Tournament will be played out as a Double Elimination competition. In a “Double Elimination” competition, Players compete in Match Sets and advance starting from the Winner’s side of the Tournament (the “Winner’s Bracket”). If a Player loses a Match Set while on the Winner’s Bracket, that Player will move to the Loser’s side of the Tournament (the “Loser’s Bracket”). If a Player loses a Match Set while on the Loser’s Bracket, thus receiving their second loss, that Player is eliminated and will no longer advance in the Tournament.
    Competitive integrity: Collusion of any kind with your competitors is considered cheating. If the Tournament Director(s) determines that any competitor is colluding to manipulate the results or intentionally underperforming, the collaborations players may be immediately disqualified. This determination is to be made at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director(s). Anyone disqualified in this manner forfeits all rights to any titles or prizes they may have otherwise earned for that tournament.


TEKKEN 8 TOURNAMENT RULES

 Playstation 5 | BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER
3/5 rounds per game, 2/3 games per set
3/5 Games for Winners, Losers & Grand Finals
Winner of prior game must keep same character
Loser of prior game may switch character
Random stage select (players may opt for an agreed stage)
Draw: If 0-0 both parties receive a point. If 1-0 or 1-1, players will replay the last match.

POOLS- SWISS STYLE: Pools will be played out as a Swiss Style qualifier.

    Players compete in match sets in a wave of five rounds for the best overall results.
    Every wave adjusts the player matchups based on win-loss records. (I.E. 3-0 vs 3-0, 1-2 v. 1-2).
    The top four win-loss records on the leaderboard will advance to the double elimination finals.

FINALS- DOUBLE ELIMINATION: Top 4/8 (determined by number of entrants)will be played out as standard Double Elimination.

 - Players compete in match sets and advance starting from the winner's side bracket.
-  If a Player loses a match while in Winner’s Bracket, that Player will move to the Loser’s Bracket.
- If a Player loses a match while in Loser’s Bracket, that Player is eliminated from the Tournament
- Losers Semi-Finals: Best of 5 Rounds, Best of 3 Games
- Winners, Losers, Grand Finals: Best of 5 Rounds, Best of 5 Games
