Nerd Street Gamers is hosting a 32-team, online VALORANT tournament running October 18th-19th. This tournament is open to all players and teams with spots given to the first 32 teams that have signed up in full teams of 5 (teams may register up to 2 substitutes on their Nerd Street team as well as Battlefy). Placement in this tournament will also determine a team's points toward the Winter Champs leaderboard, where the top teams at the end of the February will be invited to the Nerd Street VALORANT Winter Championship in March.

Start Time: 3:00PM PDT / 6:00PM EDT each day

Groups - Round Robin Groups of 4 (Bo1) with top 2 teams advancing to Playoffs

Playoffs - Single Elimination Bracket (Bo3)

Guaranteed Prize Pot: $2,500

Winter Champs Leaderboard Points: Points are given to individual players. If players change teams they will incur a 20% penalty each time they switch to a new team.

Captains must be present for the captains meeting in Discord at 2:30 PM PDT / 5:30 PM EDT, 30 minutes before the tournament starts.

This tournament will be run on the bracketing site Battlefy. All players will need to create a account on Battlefy. 

Nerd Street will be sending out join codes to the Team Captain's email after they register. Each team captain will be able to use the code given to them via email to register on Battlefy and join the bracket. Captains will then have to send the Battlefy links to their teammates and they can add up to 2 subs to their team roster. When these steps are complete the Captain will then be able to complete registration on Battlefy.


After groups finish, teams that advance to the playoff bracket will play their first match on Monday with the rest of the playoff bracket continuing on Tuesday.

The bracket will be updated in real-time after each game as teams report scores.

Map bans, side selection and further tournament rules will be outlined on Battlefy and Discord.

All team captains must be present via Nerd Street Discord throughout the tournament.
Live support will be available during the tournament via Battlefy's "Report Match Issue" on your match dashboard or using the “Tournament Support” voice channel in Discord.

After each match is complete, team captains are responsible for providing a screenshot of their match summary on Battlefy and submitting their own scores in Battlefy on that same match dashboard.

After each match is complete, teams will be assigned a match automatically from the Battlefy platform. If no match is assigned your team will be waiting for your opponent to finish their respective matches.

Team captains are required to join Discord. Each captain will receive a "Valorant Captain" role which gives them access to see the VALORANT channels.

Discord roles and Battlefy join codes are updated daily starting the week of the tournament. If you do not receive your role in this time period, contact an admin in the NSG Discord using the #mod-mail system.

Thanks you registering for the Nerd Street VALORANT Online Open 1 on October 18th-19th. All team captains are required to join the Nerd Street Discord and be present for the Captain Meeting 30 minutes before the start of each day of the tournament. Join Codes for the tournament on Battlefy will be sent manually leading up to the tournament so be patient if you did not receive it immediately. If you haven't received your join code within 24 hours of you registering your team, create a #mod-mail ticket in the Discord and an admin will help you address whatever problem you may have had in registering for the event.
