Nerd Street Gamers to speak at B. PHL Innovation Fest on October 16

by Olivia Schaller--Updated

October 16, 2019 – Philadelphia is a city rich in history, but it’s often the “now” that is overlooked! B. PHL Innovation Fest is a three day event aimed to help present Philadelphia as the most innovative city on the east coast.

Speakers from all over the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond are in attendance to present their work in fields such as science, technology, business, arts, and education. No innovator is too large or too small to have a voice here, and there will be many great opportunities to learn from no matter what your background is.

Our CEO, John Fazio was selected to speak amongst technology and gaming leaders to tackle one of the most important questions asked about gaming; Can Video Games Build Future Problem Solvers? He will be speaking about how Nerd Street Gamers has been a major innovator in changing the perception of gaming in Philadelphia and throughout the nation.

Both Localhost and the National Championship Series promote in-person competitive opportunities where young gamers acquire a skill set similar to that of traditional sports including effective communication, sportsmanship, overcoming obstacles, and leadership.

When you step into a Localhost, you’re playing on the same PC’s and monitors that the pro’s do. This top tier equipment paired with the vast technology built within each video game provides children with the tools to become the next innovators and problem solvers.
