Nerd Street Gamers and Gamers.Vote Team Up To Encourage All Gamers To Register To Vote

July 17, 2020 – With the 2020 election right around the corner, Nerd Street Gamers is partnering with Gamers.Vote in an effort to encourage all gamers across the nation to register to vote. According to the Pew Research Center, half of the adult population in the United States play video games. That is over 133 million potential voters, making gamers one of the largest voting blocks in American history.

“A huge percentage of adults in this country are gamers, meaning this group is a force for making a real impact on our futures,” said John Fazio, CEO of Nerd Street Gamers. “This is why we’re excited to work with a unique organization like Gamers.Vote to encourage more people to be change agents in their communities and exercise their voices by registering to vote.”

Nerd Street Gamers wants you to share your voice and register to vote for what you believe in. That is why Nerd Street Gamers is hosting a 32-team, online VALORANT tournament with Gamers.Vote on Sunday, July 19th at 9:00am PST, 12:00PM EST.

Several professional teams have participated in Nerd Street Gamers VALORANT tournaments prior to being signed by pro organizations including Together We Are Terrific, French Canadians, and MouseSpaz. Nerd Street Gamers tournaments are open to gamers of all skill levels, and provide competitive opportunities for passionate gamers.

Sunday’s VALORANT tournament will be streamed on Nerd Street Gamers twitch channel. Along with competitive gameplay and entertaining casters, Nerd Street Gamers will be encouraging all viewers to register to vote.

Cost of registration for the tournament is $20 per player with a prize pot of $2,500. Tournaments typically sell out, so if you are interested in competing, secure your spot today.
