NSG Academy and Underwatch are joining forces once again to put on a 16-team CS:GO tournament at Balance Patch in Boston. This time, it’s going to be even bigger with a $4,350 prize pool.
NSG first partnered with UWatch back in September for a CS:GO tournament with a smaller, $1,500 prize pool. The upcoming event in November increases in scale beyond that of the prize money. It will span two days instead of one and will comprise 16 teams. This is the first time UWatch has run a 16-team tournament.
“This event will mark our 1-year anniversary of events, and I’m thrilled to announce that we will finally be able to grow to 16-team tournaments,” states Arthur Heil, sole operator of UWatch. “It’s a big leap for us, and we aim to keeping growing as big as possible.
Heil goes on.
“I also want to give a shoutout to NSG for helping out the Boston community,” continues Heil. Because of them, we’re able to deliver better tournaments and bigger prize pools. We want to build a place for players to gain valuable experience for both new and veteran players. Having NSG backing us helps accomplish both of those goals.”
John Fazio, founder and CEO of N3rd Street Gamers reflects the sentiment.
“We created NSG to empower the grass roots local communities that exist all across America,” remarked Fazio. “Our first collaboration with UWatch was a huge success. They ran a quality tournament, and we think this one is going to be even better.”
Registration opens Friday, October 12th. Rules and registration information can be found on their Lobby page.
