DreamHack Dallas Powered by Localhost PCs

MAY 30, 2019 – DreamHack, the premier gaming and digital lifestyle festival, is powering its event in Dallas, TX with computers provided by the team here at N3rd Street Gamers. The same powerful machines you see at our Localhost venues are being utilized for headline esports competitions taking place on the various tournament stages as well as daily operations at DreamHack Dallas, May 31 to June 2, 2019.

The competitions that feature the PCs include a 16-team Counter-Strike: Global Offense event worth $250,000 and a Rocket League tournament with a prize pool of $100,000.

For anyone who hasn’t been — and those who have been know this — traffic at DreamHack can exceed 300,000 people on a given day. Attendees will spectate as professional esports teams compete in tournaments on stage using computers provided by N3rd Street Gamers.

Localhost PCs in Denver, CO

The 275 PCs shipped from our Localhost Arena in Denver, CO and are built with the latest tech specs that include RTX 2070 graphical processors and the i7-9700K CPU. The machines are part of our Mobile Deployment Unit, a popup tournament solution that our team developed that allows us to transport and activate esports competitions rapidly all over the continental US.

The opportunity to power an industry-leading event in DreamHack is one that we jumped at quickly. Providing top-level equipment that exceeds the expectations of the professional teams competing in Dallas is an extension of what we offer every day in the amateur scene, at our Localhost venues, and to our customers.

Members of our team will be on site at DreamHack Dallas to organize a small competition using Aim Lab, a game that centers on aim training, muscle memory, and analytics to increase the performance of players. We’ll be on site to answer questions about the Localhost PCs and The National Championship Series.

In addition to DreamHack Dallas, our team is activating in various locations in a wide array of venue spaces. You might remember that in March 2019, we produced and executed a Fortnite tournament inside the Philadelphia Wells Fargo Center in partnership with Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse. We also recently announced a new Localhost location in Huntington Beach, CA, making Localhost a coast-to-coast esports center.
