Nerd Street Gamers Expands International Presence with Overwatch League Team London Spitfire Partnership

Partnership to host virtual esports camp series and allow participants to learn from professional coaches

PHILADELPHIA – OCTOBER 9, 2020 – Nerd Street Gamers, the national network of esports facilities and events dedicated to powering competitive opportunities for gamers, announced its latest partnership with the Overwatch League’s London Spitfire to host an intensive online esports camp series. Spitfire Training Grounds: Powered by Nerd Street Gamers will further expand Nerd Street Gamers’ international presence, serving as a testament to the company’s mission to increase access and create opportunity in esports worldwide.

The five-day series will be held October 26-30 through Discord, where campers ages 13 and up will have the opportunity to participate in a structured online curriculum featuring coaches from the Spitfire team.

Spitfire Training Grounds: Powered by Nerd Street Gamers will provide campers with various skills to improve their gaming abilities and other aspects of their lives, including teamwork, communication and staying calm under pressure. The structured environment will allow participants to learn about the fundamentals of competitive gaming, map and game strategy, and team dynamics.
