Nerd Street Gamers Partners with NBC Sports Philadelphia for Second Season of Emmy Award-Winning Series “For the Win Philly”

New 20-episode season will focus on the highly competitive esports and gaming industries

PHILADELPHIA, October 23, 2020 – Nerd Street Gamers, the national esports infrastructure company dedicated to powering competitive opportunities and events for gamers, announced it will be teaming up with NBC Sports Philadelphia to present the second season of the award-winning series “For the Win Philly,” beginning this week.

The new 20-episode season of “FTW Philly,” which will showcase the rapid development of esports and gaming through personal stories and industry news, will debut new episodes weekly on Fridays at 9 p.m. on NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus and 11 p.m. on NBC Sports Philadelphia, beginning Oct. 23.

Following its Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award win for the first session of “FTW Philly,” which focused on esports in the Philadelphia region, the second season will expand coverage to include both esports and gaming nationwide.

The new season of “FTW Philly” will be hosted by esports personality Rosemary “Nekkra” Kelley and returning host Marisa Magnatta, producer of WMMR’s Preston and Steve Show. New episodes will include various segments such as esports news, industry interviews and deep dives into elements of gaming, as well as features of consumer tips for choosing the right game/gaming console and in-depth looks at the lives of professional players. On-air guests will include 76ers Gaming Club Head Coach Jeff Terrell, Dignitas Fe Captain Emmalee “EMUHLEET” Garrido, and several players from the Philadelphia Fusion. Sponsors for the series include Temple University.
