Twitter reacts to L.A. Valiant dropping their entire roster
by Olivia Schaller--Updated
On Friday afternoon, the Overwatch League’s Los Angeles Valiant announced that they were dropping their entire roster as a result of visa issues with the team set to compete in China for the upcoming 2021 season.
Along with the Philadelphia Fusion and New York Excelsior, the Valiant are one of three North American franchises set to compete in Asia for the upcoming season.
Earlier this month, the team denied on Twitter a report that Immortals Gaming Company, the team’s parent company, had sold the franchise to a Chinese organization.
People on Twitter were not happy with the team’s sudden and vague announcement on Friday.
