This announcement comes on the heels of the inception of Nerd Street’s partnership with Five Below following the retailer’s investment in the company’s Series A round in 2019.

“We are thrilled to expand Nerd Street’s presence on the West Coast. Knowing that it is the hub for the latest technology that emerges in the esports industry, we want to bring an abundance of opportunities and accessibility to Southern California,” said John Fazio, CEO of Nerd Street Gamers. “Through our state-of-the-art equipment, we want the community and surrounding areas to take full advantage of the competitive, educational, and networking opportunities at this Localhost.”

Nerd Street has become synonymous with bringing fun, competitive experiences to gamers of all demographics and skill levels across the country. As Nerd Street continues to expand, the company just opened the world’s first esports industry campus, “The Block,” which includes its corporate headquarters and a Localhost facility in Philadelphia, PA.

Localhost in Fullerton will serve to further increase the company’s West Coast footprint and connect more communities to the technology needed for both gaming and STEAM learning opportunities. With the region rapidly becoming a true esports hub and more universities providing scholarship offerings to esports athletes, access to this technology is about more than just gaming.

The facility will host its first on-site tournament, Super Smash Bros, at the grand opening on December 11. For more information on this event, click here.
