WHAT: Nerd Street Localhost in Denver, CO a gaming and esports center owned and operated by esports infrastructure organization Nerd Street Gamers, will welcome the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) Rocket League and League of Legends Finals to their facility. This tournament signifies the return to in-person events, also known as LAN (Local Area Network) tournaments, for the high school esports scene in Denver. The in-person experience allows for competitive integrity and the community aspect of esports to flourish. With more high schools in the area dedicating resources to gaming and esports, this championship final is a perfect example of what will come in the future. While schools may not have the budget to provide clubs and teams with the equipment needed to compete in esports at a high level, gaming and esports centers like Localhost provide an affordable training and competition hub.
