Who is Team Liquid’s new VALORANT team?
by Brian Bencomo
Team Liquid is one of the most well-known esports organizations in the world and the org had one of the best VALORANT teams in the world in 2021. Led by Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom, Team Liquid was a semifinalist at VALORANT Champions. Now, they have a second VALORANT squad.
On Sunday, the organization announced it was signing Gamelanders Purple, a female VALORANT team based in Brazil, that would compete as Team Liquid Brazil going forward.
The roster consists of the following players:
- Ana “naxy” Beatriz
- Paola "drn" Caroline
- Paula "bstrdd" Naguil
- Natália "daiki" Vilela
- Natália "nat1" Meneses
All five of these women had been a part of Gamelanders Purple since the creation of the team in January 2021. Like Cloud9 White dominated the Game Changers scene in North America, Gamelanders Purple similarly dominated Riot Games’ equivalent tournament series in Brazil.

They won both of the big women’s tournaments: Protocolo: Gêneses in June and Protocolo: Evolução in November. They also won several smaller women’s tournaments including Sakuras Ascent, Girl Power #2, Rivals Women’s Cup #3, SBT All Stars and Copa Rakin.
With the signing of this powerhouse Brazilian women’s team, Team Liquid will certainly be one of the teams to watch heading into this year’s global Game Changers event. Late last year, Riot announced there would be an international tournament taking place in November featuring all the best women’s teams in the world. If they qualify for the global Game Changers tournament, Team Liquid Brazil likely will get a chance to square off against teams such as Cloud9 White, G2 Gozen, Tenstar Nova and more.
This is not the first time Team Liquid has signed a Brazilian team. The org also has a Brazilian roster in Rainbow Six Siege.
