Dignitas reveal sweet Fortnite tournament: Mike and Ike Flavor Brawl

by Brian Bencomo

November has been a big month for Fortnite tournaments. Following on the heels of the FNCS Invitational and Dreamhack Atlanta, Dignitas has announced their own Fortnite tournament: the Mike and Ike Flavor Brawl.

The Mike and Ike Flavor Brawl will be an online tournament taking place on Dec. 7 with a $10,000 prize pool. The tournament will consist of 33 trios competing for the lion’s share of the prize pool and a year-long supply of Mike and Ike candy.

“Dignitas officially launched our partnership with Mike and Ike back in July and we knew that we wanted to do a huge Fortnite tournament,” Dignitas director of partnership activations Olivia Mihalich told Nerd Street.

Dignitas’ Piero “Pgod” Ramierz, Matthew “Mero” Faitel, Lucas “Dukez” Cardenas and Camron “cam” Dean will be among the competitors. Cam recently finished fifth at Dreamhack Atlanta. Dukez finished 15th at the FNCS Invitational as a duo with Cody "Clix" Conrod. Mero finished 36th at the FNCS Invitational while playing duos with Fortnite World Cup champion Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf.

Bugha and Mero have been playing duos together frequently this year. Bugha, Mero and Dukez have played trios together this year, so it’s possible we’ll see this trio together for the Mike and Ike Flavor Brawl since it’s a trios tournament.

However, no participants for this tournament have been confirmed other than the four Dignitas players. Mihalich said fans should keep an eye on social media for future announcements about participating players and noted that fans will see some “familiar” names.
