FaZe Clan celebrate 12th anniversary with Disney collab
by Brian Bencomo
FaZe just keep winning. A day after their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team won one of the biggest tournaments of the year, the org announced a collaboration with one of the biggest brands in the world. On Monday, FaZe Clan announced a merchandise collaboration with Disney called “Mickey On The Grid.”
The Mickey Mouse merch line, which will include T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats, will be available with limited products on May 28 and 29 at FaZe’s pop-up shop called “The Armory” in Los Angeles. The full merchandise line will be available online beginning May 30 in conjunction with the org’s 12th anniversary. The apparel collaboration is planned to be available through the end of the year.

This collaboration is the latest high-profile crossover for FaZe with big brands outside the esports and gaming space. FaZe has previously collaborated on merch lines with the Los Angeles Kings, Manchester City FC and Naruto: Shippuden.
This is the not first time a gaming org has collaborated with a Disney property, as Team Liquid has collaborated with Marvel for a series of superhero-themed apparel. This is, however, the first time a gaming org has done a collaboration involving the iconic Mickey Mouse.
“This year-long collaboration is a part of our ongoing expansion into retail and consumer products,” FaZe Clan creative director Jay “JVY” Richardson said in a statement. “Myself and the product team at FaZe are honored Disney trusted us to take a creative and modern approach to such an iconic character like Mickey Mouse, and we are excited to continue developing innovative concepts that will bring Disney’s beloved characters to life through shoppable product.”
