Sweet Aim Bro won Freeze Time, a Counter-Strike LAN presented by Kaos Gaming and held at Localhost in Fullerton. Sweet Aim Bro beat No Namers with Ego 2-1 in the grand final of the eight-team tournament.
The winning roster consisted of Adnan “RsN” Nasir, Andrew “vulcaN” Dominguez, Lucy “empathy” Verkaik, Lucas “LUKE4k” Mizumoto and Shawn Noah “JoSoo” Kim.
This was the second time that RsN won one of Nerd Street’s Counter-Strike LANs in Fullerton. While playing with Old But Gold, he won Frag Fullerton in 2022, one of the qualifying LANs leading up to Fragadelphia 16.
Empathy has competed in many ESL Impact tournaments with Evil Geniuses Gold and most recently with Shimmer. LUKE4k won Nerd Street’s Denver CS2 LAN in December with Welikecook and has competed with Tsunami Esports in the past.
Freeze Time was the fifth CS2 LAN organized by Nerd Street in the past few months. In mid-November, Tricksters won the first CS2 LAN at Localhost in Philly. The following weekend, Conquerors won the Rowan LAN, with Lucas “fatguy” Muncy winning his second Nerd Street LAN as he played for both Tricksters and Conquerors. In December, the Denver and Fullerton Localhosts held CS2 LANs, and Welikecook won in Denver, while Lakers in 4 won in Fullerton.
Ryan “laz” Lazauskas and Danny "mahone" Hsieh casted the playoffs of the eight-team tournament, which included local California university teams from Cal State San Marcos and UC Riverside as well as signed teams Amped Esports and Kaos Gaming. Kaos, who sponsored the tournament, is dedicated to fostering the growth of the North American gaming and esports scene by hosting events, leagues and supporting teams while also equipping gamers with the resources necessary to elevate their skills.
